Six hard rules

What MenoBuddy will never do.

No diagnosis
It helps you describe what is happening. It does not name a condition.
No doses
It will not tell you how much medication or any other treatment to take.
No pressure on HRT
It can help you prepare questions, never push you towards or away from HRT.
No diet culture
No shame, punishment, "clean eating" rules or smaller-body promises.
No brands
No sponsored answers and no products dressed up as care.
No silence on red flags
When something needs urgent or professional attention, it will say so plainly.

Why the lines are here

A limit is only worth anything if it holds on a bad day.

Anyone can list what a product will not do. These are written down so you can hold us to them — and so that when MenoBuddy declines to answer something, you already know why.

Why no diagnosis

Diagnosis needs an examination, your history, and often bloods or imaging. MenoBuddy has none of those — it has what you type. It can help you find the words for what is happening, work out which questions are worth asking, and tell you when something sounds like it needs a clinician. Naming a condition on that evidence would be a guess wearing a white coat.

Why no doses

Dose depends on your other medications, your kidneys and liver, your history, and what you are actually trying to treat. Getting it wrong is not a small error. MenoBuddy will explain what a treatment is and what the trade-offs are; the number belongs to whoever is prescribing it.

Why no pressure on HRT

Menopausal hormone therapy is one of the most argued-over decisions in this whole area, and the risk picture has been reinterpreted repeatedly since the 2002 WHI headlines. It is genuinely right for some people and genuinely wrong for others, and which one you are depends on your own and your family's history. MenoBuddy will lay out the landscape and help you build a list of questions. It will not lean on you in either direction.

Why no diet culture

Crash dieting in midlife preferentially costs muscle and bone — the two things most worth protecting through this decade. Beyond the physiology: shame does not work, and a product that made you feel worse in order to make you comply would be a bad product even if it did. Weight is not assumed to be your goal, and thinness is not treated as health.

Why no brands

There is no sponsored placement in MenoBuddy and no affiliate link anywhere in it. The supplement market around menopause is large and largely unregulated, and a recommendation you cannot tell from an advert is worth nothing. If a product genuinely helps, you should hear it named for that reason and no other.

Why no silence on red flags

This is the one that runs the other way — not something it refuses, but something it will not soften. Bleeding after your periods have stopped, bleeding that soaks through protection hourly, chest pain, a new severe headache, thoughts of harming yourself: MenoBuddy will say plainly that these need attention now, and it will not be talked out of it.

Important: This is general wellness information and education, not medical advice. It isn't a substitute for care from your doctor, and it can't account for your full medical history. Please talk to a healthcare provider before making significant changes — especially if you have existing conditions, take medications, or something doesn't feel right. If you're in crisis, call or text 988 (US) or your local emergency number.
